Did you know? The value of your halibut permit will be seriously impacted by the upcoming Catch Share Plan. If implemented as written today, Area 2C charter fishers would be limited to one size-restricted fish and subject to in-season closures.

In January, we introduced the SEAKER program to mitigate both the economic recession and the most negative impacts of the Catch Share Plan, details here. We have made great progress but it’s expensive to fight these battles in Washington DC and Juneau and the war is not yet won.
