Southeast Alaska Guides Organization, (SEAGO) Forum Posting Guidelines and Terms and Conditions of Use
Thank you for participating in the SEAGO forums. As you would expect we have a few rules to help us keep things on track and a few additional statements that our lawyers make us include. If you don’t agree with these rules, kindly refrain from posting on our site. This Agreement sets out the legally binding terms of your use of the SEAGO website and may be modified by us at any time without prior notice. The terms of our Privacy Policy, and any notices regarding the SEAGO website are incorporated into and made part of this Agreement.
POSTING GUIDELINES
You agree, through your use of these forums, that you will not post any
material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful,
harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive
of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law.
Inflammatory posts are not permitted. A post, or statement in a post, which serves only to fire up negative emotions or generate anger will be considered inflammatory, and will be edited or deleted at the discretion of the moderators.
Personal attacks are not allowed. Avoid negative comments regarding individuals. We strongly discourage defamatory comments. Racial slurs will not be tolerated. Harassment will not be tolerated. You can disagree with other member's opinions, statements, etc. without resorting to personal attacks on the member involved.
Please recognize that some people have a finely honed and dry sense of humor. Internet bulletin boards are notorious for masking the subtleties of the tone of even skilled authors.
Illegal statements or comments promoting illegal activities are unacceptable and will be removed.
Profanity - A wide variety of people read this bulletin board, including children. Profanity, or inappropriately suggestive, or off color comments are not acceptable. Don't post anything distasteful or anything you feel might offend someone else or that you would not say in front of a crowd of strangers. We do have a word filter which will catch a few inappropriate words and phrases however we recognize that you can create faintly disguised obscenities with creative or phonetic spellings that have the same effect. All such postings will be deleted.
You are permitted to include one link (URL) to your own homepage in their signature line.
Please use proper upper and lower case letters when posting messages. Posting messages in all "CAPS" MAKES IT APPEAR THAT YOU ARE YELLING!
Please note that advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are inappropriate on these forums.
Please note we also reserve the right to limit commercial signature tag lines or links to paid advertisers that support this site.
If you are going to post a complaint to the board, you must post your entire real name along with the post. This rule is designed to prohibit you from hiding behind false monikers, and posting false claims against people or businesses.
Eligibility - You must be sixteen or over to use the forum. Use of the forum is void where prohibited. By agreeing to these terms or by using the forum, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this Agreement and to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
Term - This Agreement will remain in full force and effect while you use the Website and/or are a Member.

You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright
is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.
Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations
are also inappropriate to these forums and will not be tolerated.
Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of posts on these
forums. Please remember that we do not actively monitor the posted messages
and we are not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy,
completeness or usefulness of any information presented. The messages express
the views of the author, NOT the views of SEAGO. Anyone who feels that
a posted message is objectionable or inaccurate is encouraged to notify
the administrator or moderator of that forum immediately.
We have the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable
time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual
process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or
edit particular messages immediately.
You may have the ability, to register, and to choose your username. We
advise that you keep the name appropriate. With this user account you are
about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another
member, for your protection and for validity reasons. You also agree to
NEVER use another member's account to post messages or browse this forum.
After you register, you can fill out a detailed profile. It is your responsibility
to present accurate information. Any information we deem inaccurate or
vulgar will be removed.
We reserve the right to block anyone at any time for any reason and without notice. Once a person is blocked he/she will not be allowed to use the site without prior permission from the owner of this site.
FORUMS AND PUBLIC COMMUNICATION
"Forum" means a chat area, bulletin board, or e-mail function offered
as part of SEAGO. You shall not upload to, distribute through, or otherwise
publish through SEAGO any content which is libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic,
threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, illegal, or
otherwise objectionable that would constitute or encourage a criminal offense,
violate the rights of any party, or that would otherwise give rise to liability
or violates any law.
By uploading materials to any forum or submitting any materials to us, you automatically grant us (or warrant that the owner of such rights has expressly granted) a perpetual, royalty free, irrevocable, nonexclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and distribute such materials or incorporate such materials into any form, medium, or technology now known or later developed throughout the universe. In addition, you warrant that all so-called "moral rights" in those materials have been waived.
You are solely responsible for the content that you post on the forum or transmit to anyone.
Except for any information which is in the public domain, you may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display, or sell any such proprietary materials or information without our express written consent in each case.
COMMENTS BY USERS ARE NOT ENDORSED BY SEAGO
SEAGO does not necessarily endorse, support, sanction, encourage, verify,
or agree with the comments, opinions, or statements posted on the Forums
or otherwise contained in the service. Any information or material placed
online, including advice and opinions, are the views and responsibility
of those who post the statements, and does not necessarily represent
the views of SEAGO.
MATERIALS POSTED BY OTHERS
You agree that SEAGO and its third part service providers are not responsible,
and shall have no liability to you, with respect to any information or
materials posted by others, including defamatory, offensive or illicit
material, even material that violates this agreement.
INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify SEAGO and its affiliates, employees, agents and
representatives, and to hold them harmless, from any and all claims and
liabilities (including attorneys fees) which may arise from your submissions,
from your unauthorized use of material obtained through the service,
or from your breach of this agreement, or from any such acts through
your use of the service.
EDITING AND DELETIONS
SEAGO reserves the right, but undertakes no duty, to review, edit, move,
or delete any material provided for display or placed on the forums,
in its sole discretion, without notice.
TERMINATION OF ACCESS TO THE SERVICE
SEAGO has the right to terminate your ability to access the forums, for
any reason, without notice.
RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF MATERIALS
No material from SEAGO or any Web site owned, operated, licensed, or controlled
by us may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted,
or distributed in any way, except that you may download one copy of the
materials on any single computer for your personal, noncommercial home
use only, provided you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary
notices. Modification of the materials or use of the materials for any
other purpose is a violation of our proprietary rights. For purposes
